ConAgra Foods Rebate

Okay Ladies and Germs:

Here is the first rebate I have found for 2010.  It is from ConAgra and we use oodles of Orville, Snack Pack (lunches) and Hunts.

Buy $10 dollars in listed items then get $25 in additional savings.
(THIS helps to build your stash or stockpile.....)

All You magazine is sold at Walmart, and has an average of $40 dollars worth of coupons each month.  You have to either get a subscription (LOOK FOR DEALS ONLINE) or buy in the store. Each magazine costs around 2.49 a copy.  I lucked into a subsription for $11 bucks on another website.  My best coupon find in the magazine was my son's favorite beef jerky.

Coupon for the Jacks beef jerkey was for up $7.99 the bag at Walmart was $8.49 so, a 1/2 pound of beef jerky came out to .49 cents.  I had bought 4 copies that month due to lots of my favorite brands were featured in the magazine.

NOTE: I had .50 coupons for the magazine --- so, my copies were 1.99 each plus all the coupons I used paid for the magazines but also added to my stash of food and beauty products. That one month, for $25 dollars out of pocket (OOP)  I purchased around $137 dollars worth of items.

ALL YOU magazine online http://www.allyou.com/ there is a free two trial subscription off now.

Remember, build a stockpile of items you use most to help cut your costs.  In this rebate, if you have coupons for the items you purchase; your OOP will be even lower.

Thanks

If you remember this calendar then refer back to Sunday Coupon Review found here:

http://www.sundaycouponpreview.com/

I go to the Sunday Coupon Preview site to see which coupons will be in the paper for that week usually the coupons are listed by Wednesday and I get the notification via email.  If there is little reason for me to justify buying a paper for the insert then I just use

http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com/  (Yes! sign up. Yes they offer special coupon codes to lower your cost. Shipping is extremely fast and worth it.)

This is how I plan my shopping around HEB, Walmart (rarely) and Walgreens sales.  I either buy multiple papers for the inserts or actual clipped coupons.

NOTEAlways check the papers you buy, I have found some weekends with 'high-value' coupons missing from the Corpus Christi paper but inserted in the San Antonio paper.  Or vice versa.......  Another thing I have noticed is say Smart Source will be totally missing from both papers but Red Plum shows up.

I will be back later to tell you about more 'Rebates' and which sites are good for online manufacturers coupons and samples.

Remember my goal is $80 a week for a family of four to include all drinks and balanced meals complete with either fresh or frozen produce. (I will buy coupons throughout the year as needed; I already have a $50 budget from rebates I have just recieved from Kelloggs, SC Johnson, Kraft in the last week.)

Talk to you later,
Nekkid Chicken

Monday, December 21, 2009

I got a bit side tracked on the way to motherhood.

But I am back now.

My Goal is to have my husband 'retired' in five years. To do this, I just need to manage our monies to pay off our bills. Of course he will have to get a semi part time job at say Wal-mart or flip burgers for spending cash.

But we will be totally debt free.

This year, we paid off: car note, credit card debts (left over from Lisa's long term illness) and cut back expenses.

We went from owing 90K plus in 2006, to owing just on our house 57K this year. Mind you, I am a SAHM (stay at home mom) and do draw a retirement check from the VA.  Now, after thirteen years of gentle feminine wiles *****NAGGING**** My hubby is ready to tighten our belts and pay off our mortgage.

When he found out that just an increase of $100 towards an additional principal payment each month (only 5 years) would cut down our loan by 9 years.  Yes NINE years with a savings of $46,920.

So, here we are onto a new decade.  I plan on spending only $4,179 for a family of four to eat healthy.  The additional monies I earn from rebates, coupon savings, surveys, and other small renue raisers we will deposite for 2010 as an extra whammy on the mortgage.

I HATE OWING MONEY

It is my personal goal and mantra:

My husband makes the money; I inturn will save the money and make it work for us.

Watch out E.F. Hutton, I will figure your job out next.

Steps off...............................................
